João Baptista Borges' delegation visits the dam rehabilitation construction sites.
João Baptista Borges, Angola's Minister of Energy and Water, visited Namibe Province from March 17 to 18 to inspect 21 dam rehabilitation projects under construction by POWERCHINA.
During the site visit, Borges received briefings on the progress and quality management of the projects and expressed his congratulations and high praise for the POWERCHINA project teams' performance and the milestones achieved so far, encouraging the teams to uphold high standards of quality and efficiency to ensure the projects' timely completion.
The rehabilitation projects in Namibe are a critical component of drought relief projects in southern Angola. Once fully operational, the projects will enhance regional water storage and supply stability, securing water for residents and livestock, and boosting the region's sustainable economic and social development.
