
Vučić receives an update on construction progress from the project team.
Serbian President Aleksandar VučićFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali, and Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Ming visited the site of EXPO 2027 Belgrade Project in Serbia, built by POWERCHINA. They met with frontline construction workers and shared breakfast with Chinese and Serbian workers.
During the visit, Vučić toured the construction site and reviewed the project's progress. He praised the project team's professional management under a tight construction schedule and high standards. He noted that the project is a key venue for Expo 2027 in Belgrade, and that the project's progress is tied to Serbia's national image. He urged the project team to maintain their efforts and ensure that construction is completed on schedule.
Ambassador Li Ming said that Expo 2027 in Belgrade is a source of pride for the Serbian nation, and that the governments and people of both countries are looking forward to the event. He expressed hope that Chinese and Serbian companies would work together to ensure the project is completed on time and to high standards.
The project has now entered the final stage of construction ahead of completion and handover. More than 2,000 Chinese and Serbian workers are working around the clock to keep the project on schedule.
