The 2026 Engineering News-Record (ENR) rankings for the Top 250 Global Contractors and the Top 250 International Contractors were released on Aug 21. POWERCHINA ranked sixth among the Top 250 Global Contractors and seventh among the Top 250 International Contractors, up one spot from last year.
In the Top 250 Global Contractors ranking, POWERCHINA has remained the world's top power engineering contractor for 12 consecutive years, further cementing its position as the world's largest power engineering contractor.
In the sector-specific Top 250 International Contractors rankings, POWERCHINA secured the second position worldwide in both power and water infrastructure, making it the top Chinese company in both fields. These rankings highlight the company's ongoing global leadership in its core areas.
POWERCHINA ranks sixth in the TOP 250 Global Contractors.
Across regional markets, POWERCHINA ranked among the global top 10 in all four of its key markets: second in the Middle East, the highest among Chinese companies; third in Asia; fourth in Africa; and seventh in Latin America.
