POWERCHINA breaks ground on the Quang Trach Phase II Gas-Fired Power Plant.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Quang Trach II LNG Thermal Power Plant Project and the grid-connection ceremony for Phase I, both built by POWERCHINA, were held on Oct 20 at the Quang Trach Power Center in Quang Tri Province, Vietnam.

As Vietnam's largest gas-fired power plant by capacity, the Phase II project is a landmark undertaking featuring the world's most advanced H-class gas turbine technology. Since the project kickoff meeting in April, its geological surveys have been completed to high standards, the first-phase technical design documents delivered with high quality, and the procurement of the four major main equipment units finalized. Meanwhile, site infrastructure and temporary facilities have progressed smoothly.
This rapid execution and multi-faceted coordination reflect POWERCHINA's exceptional efficiency, while reinforcing its strong track record in expanding Vietnam's energy market and delivering world-class international infrastructure.
