Yanbu Phase III 5×660 MW Power Plant is located about 50 km south of Yanbu City, Saudi Arabia. The project which covers 3.15 square kilometers and is great significance to adjust Saudi Arabia's energy distribution. Also, the supporting seawater desalination project is an important livelihood and political project in Saudi Arabia, which supplys fresh water for the Islamic holy city of Medina.
On February 2nd, 2020, the unit 5 of the project was connected to the grid once successfully with excellent parameters and indexes. During the implementation of project, SEPCOIII actively implemented its social responsibilities as a Chinese enterprise.It offered more than 20000 jobs opportunities for the countries along the Belt and Road, effectively promoting local social employment and economic development.
