Ogun 750MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Plant is located in the Ogun State, Nigeria, with a total investment of 450 million USD. It commenced on July 16 2007 and was completed on June 30 2011. The employer is the National Electric Power Authority of Nigeria and the contractor is POWERCHINA SEPCOIII Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd.
The power station is mainly composed of gas turbines, steam turbines and auxiliary plants. It adopts 9E and CCGT series gas turbines. The total installed capacity of the power station is 750MW. A total of 8 units were installed, which were designed, manufactured and supplied by the General Electric Company. The project was highly praised by the then Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo.
