Hong Phong 1A&1B Solar Farm is located in Hong Phong County, Binh Thuan Province, Vietnam. The capacity of the solar farm is 325MW, and the EPC contract value is US $210 million. The contract was signed under the name of Sinohydro and constructed by PowerChina Guiyang Institute. The project started on October 28th, 2018, and passed the acceptance on June 9th, 2019.
The project includes design, procurement, supply, construction, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance that adopts Chinese technology, Chinese equipment as well as Chinese and international standards,it reflect the core competitiveness of the technology-focused EPC Contractor - PowerChina and demonstrating the merit service of Power China’s full life cycle construction project.
Compared to similar projects,the project took 7 months, which race in a new record of similar project .This demonstrates the outstanding EPC management level of POWERCHINA. After the project completion, the solar farm is able to send approximately 520 million kW clean energy into the local power grid each year. It can also save 175,000 tons of standard coal and reduce 439,000 tons carbon dioxide emissions, which has greatly improved the local energy structure in Vietnam, thereby promoted rapid economic and social development.
